OUTSIDERS FILMS AT CANNES

Producers Ginette Petit and Nathalie Bissonnette are off to Cannes to establish new partnerships for our projects in development! The partners will participate in several events, including Best-seller to Box-office, where they will present Il pleuvait des oiseaux, which was chosen from a field of 120 candidates!

HÔTEL LA LOUISIANE

The director of photography Michel La Veaux is completing work on his first project as director, a feature-length documentary on the legendary Hôtel La Louisiane in Paris. We’re very excited to show you this film, which stars Albert Cossery, Juliette Gréco, Robert Lepage, Gérard Oberlé and Olivier Py. (Coming out in 2015.)

LE VIEIL ÂGE ET LE RIRE NOW AVAILABLE ON DVD

Outsiders Films is proud to announce that the documentary Le vieil âge et le rire by Fernand Dasereau is now available in Renaud-Bray bookstores.

In addition to the film, the DVD includes bonus content that brilliantly illustrates the documentary’s point of view. You’ll find an interview with the editor Hélène Girard and a discussion between Fernand Dansereau, Gérard Poirier, Andrée Lachapelle, Kim Yaroshevskaya, Aubert Pallascio and Marcel Sabourin. A segment called Accepter une nouvelle vie pour soi depicts the relationship between Edith Fournier and Michel Moreau. Doctor Réjean Hébert expresses his views in Ajouter de la vie aux années, while the French philosopher Robert Misrahi speaks to the joy of being alive in La jouissance d’être.
